PWX Chapter Dinner Committee
Committee tasked to work with Chapter sponsors to review venues in host city of each year’s APWA Exposition, old Congress, to select location for Chapter dinner. Work involves a site visit, on individual member’s expense, to the host City. Committee make contact with PWX Host Committee to gain insight into local area, host hotels and venues for banquet functions. During the site visit the Committee visits local banquet & entertainment venues as well as the host hotel(s).
Committee selects a venue for the Chapter dinner, coordinates details of the function including menu, entertainment, event budget and suggested ticket price. Chapter dinner information is provided to the Budget Committee for review prior to presentation for approval by the Executive Board. PWX Chapter Dinner planning and approvals should be completed by 1 July in order to allow notification and registration activities needed to notify APWA National as well as complete confirmation details related to the event. As requested the Committee also provides Chapter sponsors insights on venues in the host city appropriate for their events. The Committee also provides a recommendation regarding the most appropriate PWX host hotel that will allow Chapter members the best access to host city, PXW and Chapter activities during their visit.
Committee comprised of representatives of Chapter sponsors that traditionally or anticipate hosting an event during PWX, member(s) of the Executive Board and other interested Chapter members.
